This collection brings together tracks from Leon Gieco's early works, from his 1973's self-titled debut through 1982's Pensar en Nada. During this period, Gieco composed many classics like "Solo le Pido a Dios" and "En el Pais de la Libertad." Although some key songs from that era are missing -- "Cachito, Campeon de Corrientes," "La Navidad de Luis," and "Pensar en Nada" to name a few -- this is a reasonably thorough overview of Gieco's folk years. So if you're new to his world, this album will work as a good introduction to his career.
