Boone Creek's second album One Way Track showcases the stunning instrumental skills of a young Ricky Skaggs, as well as his compatriots Jerry Douglas and Terry Baucom. The three musicians blend on tight, thrilling harmonies, but where they really shine is on their rampaging instrumentals, where they demonstrate their virtuosity. The title track, a Skaggs original, sets the pace for the album: a warm but still disciplined collection showcasing not only the players' abilities, but also their passion for the traditional material they cover.
