On Distant Memories and Dreams, acoustic guitarist Michael Gulezian leads an ensemble in a collection of gorgeous original compositions. This release features David Darling on cello, Fernando Saunders on bass and Ted Moore on percussion. Gulezian doesn't use any synthesizers. All his songs display wonderful textures that are exclusive to acoustic instruments. Listeners who like the sounds of Leo Kottke and Shadowfax will enjoy this recording.
