30 Caliber Cure was formed in late August 2005 by former members of local bands (ALL TIME LOW, DEAD RINGER, TRIP, BLINDSIGHTED, PVC,COILBURN)~ "We all wanted to bring out a different sound, something that stood out from everything else". J (bass) and Erin (guitar) have been playing together for about four years now. They definatly work together as a "left" and a "right". Bringing all kinds of creativity to the table, they both have played many different kinds of music. The two hooked up with Phil (drums) in late August 2005, with the idea to just rip apart the local music scene with something explosive, something different. Phil(drums) was definatly interested in that idea. The three began laying down songs at their practice hall. The kickass riffs were just flowing out, and Phil was right on top of it, laying down some explosive beats. They soon hooked up with a vocalist formaly from the band Trip. Phil, J, Erin checked out his style, and his capabilities from some old music that he did(Trip). Tyle (vocals) definatly caught their attention, and was what they had been looking for, someone with a darker sounding voice. Tyle came in and caught on to the music right away. He started out just freestyling to the music, and words full of twisted emotions started flowing out. The other three members were very impressed with his style and writing creativity. "From the first day we jammed with him, we knew he would be our vocalists" .30 Caliber Cure was now complete, and capable of DESTRUCTION!!! .30cc played their first show Jan.27th2006 @ a local venue in Toledo. Since then the band has acquired a fairly large fan base, and has opened for numerous headlining acts (Chimaira, Switched, Hed P.E. Wednesday13) and also have headlined alot of ltheir own shows. .30 Caliber Cure is not a band that you can just ignore, When they take the stage, they will draw your attention to them, for the whole band feeds off the crowd. They have explosive stage presence, and play as hard as they can no matter what size of crowd!! You definatly want to check out a .30cc show sometime, you will not be dissapointed!!!!
