8 Seconds Later
Eight Seconds Later is a Boston area pop/rock band who's style can be described as somewhere between Elvis Costello and Third Eye Blind. The band came together in 2006 as a spin off from singer/songwriter/guitarist Dan Feeley's prior band "Small Town Heroes". Feeley and partner/drummer/percussionist Tom Ryan hooked up with bassist Tim Galvin, forming the lineup that would become Eight Seconds Later. Their self-produced, self-titled debut album was released in January of '07 to a tremendous response from local fans in the MA/RI/ME area. The album is full of radio friendly pop rock songs, from the emotionally charged "Great Escape" to the anthemic "When I Hold You Near" to the college rowdiness of "Wendy" and "UMass Women". Eight Seconds Later is a small town band with the potential for widespread appeal because of their knack for producing great songs that touch a wide variety of listeners.
