The Chicago based group A Birdsong Valentine formed in early 2006. Their mix of melodic vocals into hard hitting screams and passionate instrumental grooves makes the band a special treat to listen to. The live show is even better with a high energy performance by each of the four members. A Birdsong Valentine has had a lot of success in a small period of time. In September 2006, A Birdsong Valentine was the featured artist on UBL.com which has 41.5 million unique users per month, which makes it one of the largest international music network behind i-tunes and yahoo music! (Source: Media Metrix, September 2006) The band had a great opportunity to open up for national touring acts "The Damnwells" and "Army of Me" at Double Door in Chicago. A Birdsong Valentine was also featured by Pabst Blue Ribbon LIVE AND LOCAL as a promising up and coming band in the Midwest. Miller Genuine Draft supported the band at all of their local shows with product and swag. The band was also apart of the 2006 Hostage Radio compilation CD showcasing some of the best talent in the area. The band is currently working with Emmy Award winning producer Freddie Breitberg on their new album "Giving in Again" which is expected to be released in Summer 2007.
