A.B. Quintanilla
Although A.B. Quintanilla is a respected musician and producer in his own right, he is best known in the Spanish music community as the brother of Selena -- producing and penning some of his late sister's biggest hits. Born in Toppenish, WA, Quintanilla was encouraged by his guitar-playing father, Abraham, to pursue music along with his other siblings. As a result, he picked up the bass guitar and formed the band Selena y los Dinos, consisting of his sisters Suzette (drums), Selena (vocals), and their father on guitar. By 1987, the band was signed to EMI-Capitol Records, who issued their hit debut, Ven Conmigo. But Selena soon proved to be the main attraction of the group, and launched a successful solo career in 1990 with the release Ven Conmigo. Quintanilla signed on as the producer of Selena's solo records, resulting in such Latin smashes as 1992's Entre a Mi Mundo, 1993's Live, and 1994's Amor Prohibido. Quintanilla began branching out and producing and writing for other Latin artists, including Thalia, Cristian Castro, and Tito Puente Jr., among others. Just around the time of Selena's tragic murder in 1995, Quintanilla produced and co-wrote the song "Como te Extrano," which won the Premio Lo Nuestro award for Song of the Year. In the late '90s, Quintanilla helped form a new group, the Kumbia Kings (an eight-member group consisting of young musicians between the ages of 16-24), producing their well-received debut, Amor, Familia y Respecto, in 1999. ~ Greg Prato, All Music Guide

I Love this. I didn't know who A.B. Quintanilla is but the first time that I heard A.B. Quintanilla play, I was astounded and shocked by the quality of the vocals.

A.B. Quintanilla is my all time favorite. Long live A.B. Quintanilla!!! As you can see, I'm judging this solely on my love for A.B. Quintanilla and not for the actual quality of the songs. I'm biased
