A Band Named Billy is a spawn of ideas basically. We wanted to do something different, to keep things more genuine and get more soul into rock'n roll. We didnt want a polished image, but rather a sound texture you could listen to over and over again, and have new exciting things pop out that you didnt hear the first time around. We feel that by creating this entire album, in less than one month - averaging 3 hours PER song, that we have created something completely unique. Our way of creating - our process was simple. We began with a riff, or an idea, or a piece of lyric. Nothing big, nothing final. Then we just played. Everything - is first or second take - vocals, guitars, everything. In most of the songs the lyrics were made up as the song progressed, and the recording was live - ie. nothing was on paper in any way shape or form. So ofcourse we hope you like our music, but we genuinely hope you can see our idea, in bringing some life back into the scene, by not tampering with an idea until its broken two ways over. This is pure, this is genuine, this is nakedness in all its glory. We make mistakes. And we bleed.
