Acoustic Food Chain

The self-described "blue age" duo Acoustic Food Chain comprised guitarists Jimmy Sferes and Steve "Guitar" Glotz, a pair of transplanted New Yorkers who began playing together in Colorado in the mid-'70s. After jamming together off and on for years, the duo first teamed professionally in 1989 in the group Borrowed Time, which issued an eponymously titled LP in 1991. In 1994 Sferes and Glotz exited the band to form Acoustic Food Chain, a primarily instrumental forum for the duo's "blue age" music, a fusion of folk, blues, and jazz. A self-titled LP followed in 1996. ~ Mark Donkers, All Music Guide
