Adelaide Chiozzo

At eight, Adelaide Chiozzo started to learn to play the accordion. At 15, she debuted on the Rádio Nacional in the novice show Papel Carbono. Chiozzo starred in over ten films after 1946, starting with Ninguém Segura Esta Mulher (Watson Macedo), where she accompanied the singer Bob Nelson. In 1950, Chiozzo recorded her first album through the label Star. In the '50s she was a famous artist in the Rádio Nacional (Rio de Janeiro) and also recorded through Copacabana (former Star). In the '80s, she participated in the TV Globo soap operas Feijão Maravilha and Deus Nos Acuda. Her biggest hits were "Beijinho Doce" (Nhô Pai), "Sabiá na Gaiola" (Hervé Cordovil/Mário Vieira), and "Lá Vem Seu Tenório" (Manuel Pinto/Aldari de Almeida Airão). ~ Alvaro Neder, All Music Guide
