theskycorvair's Album Review for Sing the Sorrow
"Trendy"
Better Live
Despite being a long time AFI fan, their latest album dissapointed me. It seems as though they have shed their former punk roots for a more poppier sort of downbeat. Naturally there are still the musical aspects which made me intrested in the band present in the album, however they are less pronounced. If you ignore that unfavorable aspect, the album has few flaws. The lyrics of course are still beautiful as ever, as is Davey. ...But Home is Nowhere was enjoyable. However, the song Girl's Not Grey made me cringe. Could it be the ANNOYING tune? Perhaps. Neverless, I shall continue to be a faithful AFI fan and hope to remain so.
