The Belgian experimental jazz-rock combo Aka Moon is comprised of members Fabrizio Cassol (alto sax), Michel Hatzigeorgiou (electric bass), and Stèphane Galland (drums), and has been together since the early '90s. Taking its name from a culture of Pygmies, Aka Moon's music is a highly original blend of both jazz and dance theatre. During the group's career, they've augmented their sound from time to time with other players/instruments (keyboards, guitar, etc.). By 2001, the trio had issued a total of 11 albums (all on the Carbon 7 label), including 2001's In Real Time, which was created for Anne-Teresa De Keersmaeker's dance company Rosas (the Tg Stan theatre company).
