Alejandro de Rosas

Chilean singer Alejandro de Rosas started getting involved in show business in 1986 after winning a music contest known as Gente Nueva at a local TV show called Sabados Gigantes, hosted by popular Don Francisco. A year later, the artist had the opportunity to make his first single, "Huracán," followed by his debut album, Aventura, produced by Scottie Scott. In 1988, Alejandro de Rosas came in third place at Colombian's Buga Festival, later recording his second album, Intimo, produced by Horacio Saavedra. It was his self-titled album, released in 1991, which consolidated Alejandro de Rosas in the local scene, getting the smash "No Quiero Verte Asi" voted as Best of the Year by the Journalists Association APES, awarding him as Best Performer of the Year as well. After signing up to CNR, the singer returned in 1996 releasing Diez Años Mejor. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
