Allan played the role of "Sonny" in the 1983 film "Tender Mercies" starring Robert Duvall. Duvall gave him his first guitar at age 10 and Allan taught himself to play. "Slumber" was recorded in 2006 and is intended to be a set of songs to lull the listener to sleep in 31:00 minutes. There is a method to the order of the songs (Mist, Twilight, Moon, Fog, Slumber, Startled, Zeke).
