anaesthesiac is the front for my musical paroxysm's. i find a lot more beauty in darkness and imperfection, rather than overpolished re-runs of songs i've heard a million times. aside from the standard guitar, bass, drums and keys, i use a vast array of industrial/factory samples, either created by myself [i work in a factory], and find a lot of character in making music from objects that were never designed to be musical: paint tins, 40gl drums, wind chimes, pipes, uld's, hydraulics and anything that makes noise. my influences are wide and varied: joy division, tool, r.a.t.m, the birthday party, einsturzende neubauten, skinny puppy, frontline assembly, dogmachine, midnight oil, cocteau twins, dead kennedys, misfits, sepultura, buzzcocks, morbid angel, revolting cocks and many others. i'm 27 years old, and have been playing, writing and recording for 12 years. dual dub tape decks to digital, punk-metal to electronica.
