Antonio Teixeira
Teixeira was able to study in Rome from around 1717 until 1728. He retunred home to Lisbon and served in the Lisbon Patriarchal Cathedral. Compositions by Teixeira included a cantata, "Gli sposi fortunati," a twenty voice "Te Deum," and two masses, psalms, Lamentations and an a capella motet also scored with instruments. ~ Keith Johnson, All Music Guide
