Arkham 13 (Originally known as just Arkham), was formed in the summer of 1997 by Derek (formerly of Neglect & Cleanser) & Dug. Pete, who also played on the Misc. CD with Derek (which featured Dug, as well as Jamey Jasta, Daryl Glass Jaw, Jaw Guilty Party/Berzerkers, Rick ta Life, etc.) played drums with A-13 until we found a permament drummer, which was filled by Antman. We recorded our 1st 7" for Gain Ground Records (Under Arkham) 2 months after forming (with Hugo on session bass). This 7" Born with Scars was a limited press of 1500 copies and sold out in 2 weeks when it was finally released. They were then offered to record a full length CD with both Dark Eminance in the U.S. & Acrid productions in Europe. A-13 recorded their debut CD "The Wrath" (Under Arkham) as a 3 piece (Derek played both Guitar/Bass). During the time of the 7" & CD release, Acrid productions offered us a spot on the Cleanser/Chemical European tour 1998 we accepted and played all over Italy, Germany, France, Belgium, Amsterdam, Sweden, Poland, Denmark, & Finland, with no official release, only tour shirts. At this time we added Bassist Theo to the line up. At the end of the tour both the 7" & debut CD was released with great praise in both Europe & the US. The 7" was a limited pressing of 1,500 copies & sold out within 2 weeks, as well as the full length selling quite a few pressings as well. We started writing our next CD for Dark Eminance Records, they even recorded a live set for a special double CD with other bands like Indecision, Tension*, Reach 454, Silent Majority, Cleanser to name a few. A-13 recorded 2 sessions for their upcoming CD, during the 2nd session they added a 2nd Guitarist Rion, and recorded 3 tracks with him on 2nd Guitar for the Cd. A-13's sound got much more aggressive and technical then their previous releases. A total brutal Thrash sound was made much more apparent with this release. After the CD was recorded, Dark Eminance closed their doors and did not release the upcoming CD Titled "Bloodfiend" & nenver rleased the live recordings. During this time A-13 decided to take a break for time to do other things. 3 years later they got back together as ARKHAM 13 & started writing new songs. They recorded during 2 years time, they recorded 15 songs for a new CD, including a covers of Derek's old band Neglect "Horror Struck", Exciter "Pounding Metal" & Venom "warhead". Filled with Hate Records from Germany offered to release these songs. This CD "Born to Bring Death" will be released Spring 2005. Also included on this CD is bonus live tracks recorded at The Downtown in Long Island in 2004. This has the most agressive tracks Arkham 13 ever recorded! a killer mix of Thrash/Death & Speed metal with total Hardcore agrression. During this time another label Agitate the System offered to release the "Bloodfiend" cd recorded back in 98/99, and offered us a video to promote the CD. Months went by and after a year of no release, this label also closed it's doors, website/e-mail/phone numbers disconnected. A 2nd label failing to release the CD. Finally though after all these years Back ta Basics is finally releasing the "Bloodfiend" CD! so look for it to be released in 2007!!! with bonus live trax recorded live in Chemnitz, Germany on our european tour 98. So look for "Bloodfiend" CD's to be Released in 2007, this CD best represents A-13 and is the best release from Arkham 13...Lindenhurst, Long Island's Speedeathrashardcore Thrashoholix!!!
