My name is Aron Orion, and i'm a musician, filmmaker, writer, and a proponent of the destruction of Dallas arts/music scene. I'm a deconstructionist.. a performance artist, a political activist, who uses his audio/visual talents to further his agenda.. I have been making indie music in the Dallas area for years, and have a small cult following who really enjoy my work. They tell me that more people would enjoy it if I put it out there (under my REAL name, as opposed to facade "groups" that are in name only, so here I am. I've recorded over 50 albums, some kept away from the public & created for the purpose of amusing myself & friends, and some have been distributed by my own indie record label (10 of which were sold through punk magazines & the internet), have produced/aired 10 public access shows/short films (many of them were sold at fringe video stores scattered around Dallas/Denton), wrote/edited/starred in a film that was screened at a local film festival (which i later disowned, and refuse to allow ANYONE to see), and I've also published 7 issues of a 'zine entitled "Seclusion" that was wildly popular & somewhat controversial. For years, I resisted any labels who showed interest in my work & what I do, but, due to the pestering of a gothic harlot who shall remain nameless, I caved in, sent packages to scattered labels last year.. some large, some tiny.. and generated interest & am now working on "Startime," an album which will be my "outside indie label" debut which will be sold in shops, as opposed to mail order & the net. Thing is, I'm not happy about the proposed deal, so yeah. I remain "unsigned" and will release albums myself until I find a label who would love my services & that I would love in return. I record music under my real name, and various pseudonums, "fake bands that don't exist & are excuses for me to mock genres" that have become quite popular on myspace.. the "artists" don't really exist, but the majority of the masses belive that they do.. the list includes "Wilson Rainway," a failed thirty-something poet/musican who people love to hate, "Sam Shanks," a mentally retarded musician who sings perverted songs that people go wild over, "Loveshine," a sickeningly sweet pop group that sings the most poppy, suger flowery love songs you've ever heard.. and a few others. Anyway, I hope you like my work. It's different, but quite interesting I belive.. lots of fun, depressing work, spoken word, comedy tracks, lovesongs, tunes that make you want to kill yourself.. it's all here.. enjoy!
