Arsentiy Kharitonov, Russian pianist, composer. Native of Stary Oskol, Russia, Arsentiy Kharitonov has performed in Russia, Poland, the Netherlands, Germany, and the United States. He is the winner of numerous competitions including 2004 and 2006 Northwestern State University Concerto Competition, 2005 Monroe Symphony League Concerto Competition, 2005 Louisiana State Piano Competition, and 2003 “Slavic Music” Competition (Ukraine). He is also the third-prize winner at the Rachmaninoff Piano Competition (Stary Oskol, Russia) and the recipient of a diploma at “Peter the Great” festival in Groningen, the Netherlands. In July Mr. Kharitonov’s orchestral appearances include performances with the St.Petersburg Youth Orchestra in Grand Philharmonic Hall (St. Petersburg, Russia) as well as with the Northwestern Symphony Orchestra and the Monroe Symphony (Louisiana, USA). 2006 Mr. Kharitonov was invited to play a recital at the Finland Consulate in St. Petersburg, Russia. As a composer, Arsentiy writes and improvises in ANY genre.
