Mexican Arkangel R-15 hit the charts for the first time with a song called "Tu Desastre," featured on their debut album, which was released by the independent label Kora Records in 1990. Performing a local style known as La Quebradita, the band recorded Los Reyes de la Quebradita in 1992. Two years later, Luna Music released a compilation of Arkangel R-15's greatest hits, 14 Exitasos, which achieved gold status and eventually reached platinum in 1995.
