My name is Blake9. I am a DJ/Producer located in Arlington, VA. I have been DJing for 9 years and producing for 6 years, primarily on the SP1200. I work with Comel_15 from a group in LA called Time Machine. Blake9 and Comel_15 are Nine:Fifteen is a hip hop duo that Comel_15 and I started in Washington DC. I also work and record with other local MC's like Pasha the eMCee, Jihad and Stylus Chris of Defined Print, Mike the Finite, Seez Mics, Flex Mathews, and Radel Esca. I also work with Mad Squirrel, Prego, and Edison Victrola from the Forrest Fires Collective. Mad Squirrel and I are in a group called The Acorns. I run a record label called Candlewax Records. I'm working on a 12-inch record right now with Count Bass. I have an album out on Candlewax Records with Mad Squirrel called Dropping From The Trees. As well as a few mix cds, a 7inch record featuring Olive Green from San Francisco and a 12inch record out with his group Nine:Fifteen. Be sure to look and ask for them in your local record shop.
