Blueboy may very well be the most loved of T&T's calypsonians. After dominating the Road March competition in the early 80s, a difficult bout with personal problems removed him for a while from the big leagues. His triumphant return in 1991 (as "Superblue") was met with overwhelmingly positive response by a public that had been truly empathetic during his "lost years." In both 1991 and 1992 Superblue was so far ahead in the Road March competition that his ultimate victories were pronounced long before Carnival Tuesday, but in '93 he even exceeded this feat by writing the most popular road march ever (in terms of votes tallied), "Bacchanal Time."Look under Blueboy for the best of his earlier efforts, but consider both albums as Superblue to be essential listening. ~ Gene Scaramuzzo, All Music Guide
