Bob Mills

Folksinger Bob Mills is also an accomplished musician, efficient on a number of down-home type instruments, including the mandolin, fiddle, guitar, banjo, and even the bouzouki and the bodhran. During his career, Mills has toured nationwide, performing at folk festivals from New York to North Carolina. He has been a member of groups like the Three Amigos, Tune Unit, Future Geezers, Hi Yield Notes, and the Neander Bobs. Working with fiddler John Pranio and pianist Jan Drechsler, his wife, he formed another group, Tripping Up Stairs, and together they released a self-titled debut album. In 1998, Mills completed his debut solo album, Whatever Happened?, working under the Orchard Records label. Some of the tracks on this first offering are "The Two Sisters," "Buffalo Skinners," and "Goofy Does the Schottische." ~ Charlotte Dillon, All Music Guide
