Bobby Davis
British pianist Bobby Davis showed up in the second decade of recordings by Felix Mendelssohn and the Hawaiian Serenaders. The leader avoided the obvious classical connotations of his surname and headed straight for the many British macadamia nuts who wee enthusiastic about Hawaiian music. Material by the group featuring Davis on piano was reissued by the Harlequin label in the late '90s. ~ Eugene Chadbourne, All Music Guide
