The musical journey began in 1992 in 8th grade. I couldnt tell you why I began rhyming, besides the fact that I had always been immersed in Hip-Hop Kulture and wanted to be MORE down. I grew up with cats like CHARACTA ASSASINZ (Source Unsigned Hype' 95-PEACE to Rik Marvel, X-Style, & SRD), BLAQUE WATCH, FORD (TheBeetsINC/Hall of Justus affiliate) and MMC (PPMz Productions). From then until 1997, I just did it as a hobby;battling cats at bathroom and lunch breaks, at house parties, in the whip, and just freestylin with the homies (Dcent One & Big Lan). When I moved to ATL, Ga in 1997 for college is when I really opened up. I started going thru and tearin **** down at spots like LYRICIST LOUNGE (Club Kaya), HIT DISC (R-I-P), YING YANG CAFE now known as APACHE CAFE, and just ciphering with mad heads including, MARQ SPEKT (Broady Champs/Invizibl Men/Backwoodz Studios), MICRANOTS, CULT OF ICON, LIUNS DEN, MASS INFLUENCE, BASHEBA EARTH, STAHHR THE FEMCEE, BINKIS RECS, and many other talented people. In 1999 I moved out of the dorms and became roomies with POINT GOD (Broady Champs/QUDRAT), and GOLDEN SCHOLAR (original Broady Champ!). Livin and buildin with these cats is when I began recording music on our janky-ass ghetto karaoke setup in our dungeon known as 338. We would just make MAD mixtapes to trade between ourselves and friends. After coming thru to the spot, SPEKT chose to assemble a group of ATL's elite artists. BROADY CHAMPS was born! THe OFFICIAL line-up included SPEKT, the real NYCE (Cult of Icon), SCHOLAR, PG, and myself. After the reactions on peoples faces after our first show, we KNEW we were gonna be a force to be reckoned with. After Spekt dropped his single on SUBVERSE RECORDINGS in 2001, we were on a roll. We CONQUERED shows and made alliances with such acts as KRSONE, C-RAYZ WALZ, BREEZ EVAHFLOWIN and the rest of STRONGHOLD, BIG JUSS (ex CO-FLOW), SCIENZ OF LIFE, AKROBATIK, and many others. The devastation took place from NYC on down to ATL. After years of self releasing projects, we signed a P&D deal with Day By Day Ent in 2005. Our album "BREAKFAST of CHAMPIONS" was released on JAN 31st, 2006. Pick it up! In 2004, while waiting for something MAJOR to happen with Broady, I decided to move to Austin TX. While there I would join forces with Producer/emcee JUST BORN (KASIM RAJABU) as LOS OJOS DE DIOS. He is a talented brother that I met thru my homie SMAALS (CULTURE SOUND RECORDS), who I met thru DJ KOOL AKIEM (SCION, ex MICRANOTS, MF DOOM tour DJ). Along with Los Ojos and Culture Sound, I would DESTROY shows on the same bill as, BLACKALICIOUS, MURS, COUNT BASS D, KILLAH PREIST, iCON THE MIC KING, SHAPESHIFTERS, and EVERY TX Underground artist. During that period I would record an unreleased Los Ojos album, as well as a SOON to be released project with Culture Sound Records resident producer extraordinaire, JAZ INFINITE. Look out for "THE INTROSPECTRUM". Its a bonafied CLASSIC! Along the way, GALAXY HIGH (KREW) was formed and swarmed to mics like a pack of wild Jackals! GHK is: ASSASYN DYNASTY, SUN ELO, RUIN, JAZ INFINITE, LOU ONE, CEREBRAL VORTEX, smaals Culture, and myself. From MARCH 2006 til JULY 2006, I would record a new project along with my roomate and fellow GHK member, CEREBRAL VORTEX. 215:THE FRESHEST KIDZ is IN HERE! With this brew we are blending our "Golden Era" Hip-Hop roots with our LOVE for European, as well as USA regional styles such as B-More Gutter, Chicago House and Juke, TX Screw Music, Miami Bass, Latin Freestyle, Atlanta Krunk, and Oakland Hyphy into a breed we have dubbed "STREET-POP"!
