Cerafim
Toronto-based band Cerafim was formed in 1986. The lineup at that time was John P. D'Addona (guitar), Rick Kazmirchuk (keyboards), Gabe Pethö (bass), Jeff Morrison (vocals), and Marce Ciurleo (drums). Very quickly the group began receiving high honors in many Canadian music contests. In fact, they continued racking up victories for the next nine years, prompting the release of their first CD, Sides of a Different Kind, in 1996. Two years later, Morrison left the group and his replacement was Mark Roebuck. In 1999, they had a change of drummers, with Oleg Sarkissov becoming their new sticks man. They released a four-song EP that year to show off their new lineup. The year 2000 saw the emergence of their second true album, Alternative to Alternative. ~ Gary Hill, All Music Guide
