C'est La Vie!
C'est La Vie got together in the mid 80's and was originally an eight piece band playing a mixture of sixties covers from bands like The Who and the Beatles, and original songs from the bands' budding songwriters at the time. The band enjoyed a small degree of local success and ended up with a nice sponsorship deal from a Watford based music shop, complimenting the keen management which had also been a driving force. After a little while, decisions were made to take C'est La Vie on a new direction which meant trimming the band down to a four piece, and consequently replacing the front man, with "Jim", who had up until that point, been the keyboard player, and submitter of the bulk of the original material. A year or so down the line, and the band had pretty much stopped gigging, and as individuals, started exploring different musical avenues to go down. Writer, keyboard player and front man Jim, continues to record under the name of C'est La Vie, occasionally drafting in other musicians or performers where necessary. He has been able to work full time as a musician and performer since 1989, but his original music has remained largely unheard, until now, with the onset of the internet. Consequently their is a wealth of backed up material spanning over the last twenty years or so.
