Kiss My Twang - Behind the Song & Video
Kiss My Twang
Here is another one of the new videos. It's for one of my songs called "Kiss My Twang". I wrote it a while back when I was promoting the first CD. Country radio kept telling me that my rodeo songs like 'Born To Ride', 'Barstool Cowboy' and "Let'em Ride' were "Too Country". So, I wrote this song in response to that.
In the first verse, I mention Hank Williams moving his house off of Music Row. There used to be a house at the end of Music Row that was rumored to be the house of Hank Williams. They moved it in order to create the new look for Demonbreun St. So, I thought it would be funny to say Hank moved it himself because he was tired of Music Row putting down traditional country.
A little note about those radio stations. I heard that one of the Texas station managers who wouldn't play "Born To Ride" because it was too country was fired two weeks later for not playing Chris LeDoux. I guess you don't mess with Texas when it comes to Chris LeDoux!
God bless Chris LeDoux!
Well, I hope you enjoy it. It again is just a rough acoustic version. Feel free to leave comments on the video and let me know if you think I should record it in the next sessions.
Thanks again for your time and support,
Chris
Get Back in My Bed - Behind the Song & Video
Get Back in My Bed
I've started recording the acoustic demos in video format. They are of course just simple low quality recordings. But, they will let you hear...and see...the new stuff I'm writing for the new sessions. Plus, it's a little more personal.
The song in this video is called, "Get Back In My Bed". I wanted to write something a ltitle more sensual & playful. This is about those weekends when you're with the one you love and just don't get out of bed or get dressed all weekend. Since it's one of my favorite things and feel it should be every weekend, I wrote this song! ![]()
This song also made a lot of people nervous, especially in Nashville because they think it is too suggestive and may offend women. Well, I don't think it is dirty. I think it is sensual and a great part of being in love. But either way, let me know your opinion.
There is also a "Dirty Version" that has an alternate ending that is a little more risque. Again, it's not dirty to me. It's what I'm all about!
But let me know if you think I should show the "Dirty Version"! ![]()
Feel free to leave comments on the video and let me know if you think I should record it in the next sessions.

Chris Moves into Film & Video
Chris Moves into Film & Video
Chris is opening a new division of Chris Sparks Entertainment called Chris Sparks Films. It will be in charge of producing all music videos, short films, video web content, video media kits and personal interviews.
Chris already has two major film credits as a Songwriter and Composer with his songs 'Let'em Ride' and 'Barstool Cowboy'. The new division will continue to market and license his musicand services for film.
The move into film is another move by Chris to stay independent of major record labels. He already writes all songs, produces the music and even designs the CD covers and marketing materials. The only mountain left to climb ismusic video & film production.
"With major videos costing as much as $350K, I wouldn't pay that if I had it. I love the creative process and want to be a true artist. So even though I know absolutely nothing about producing anddirecting videos, I'm going to do whatit takes to learn it."
All of Chris' efforts for the next year will be focused on recording the rest of the new CD, releasing the new CD and creating as much video content as possible. "The web is going to video very quickly. It is by far the most important way for meto get more personal with as many fans as possible. So, we are delaying the Meet & Greet Tour. I really love meeting fans personally and look forward to the point when I have the honor to do that. But, withme having to work every day to earn every dime that finances my career, I need to be very careful in how spend my time and money. Travel can be very costly in both time and money. So, I'm going to video first in order to build up to the tour."
Chris has already started creatingvideo contentby recording stripped down versions ofsongs he plans to record. "It's just me and my acoustic on my couch. It's just like I do when I'm on a date. I love taking a girl out to dinner or a movie and thensinging for her. Of course, I'm still single; so is it my voice or me that's not quite working!?
"
In the same simplistic manner, Chris will then begin to tape personal interviews where he answers questions, some of which will be sent in byfans. "I can blog all day. But, that doesn't really let people get to know me. It's not personal enough. So, hopefullythese video interviewscan change that."
In the meantime, Chris is working with studios from Wilmington, NC to Nashville to plan and produce his music videos and maybe a short film or two. "It might take me a year to learn how to do all this. But, we're going to have a lot of fun doing it. You can bet I'll be puttingmom and dad to work with me producing and directing!
"
"Our ultimate goal is to build up to a live concert DVD that will show everybody what kind of show I like to do before they lay their hard earned money down to see me on tour. I grew up admiring performers like Elvis, David Lee Roth, Steve Vai, Kiss, Judas Priest and Ozzy.I love a big show where we actually get to perform."
