Colour Trip

Although starting as the visceral death metal troupe Accessory in the early 90's, Colour Trip changed their name and approach in 1994 when the band turned from the subgenre and focused on a more simple approach. Ridding themselves of the complicated riffs and buzzsaw guitars, the band released their debut album on Massacre Records in 1994. The band hit the road with Nuclear Assault but lost their record deal, leading them to Armageddon Records the following year for their sophomore effort. The album, GroundLevelSexType, was a more aggressive release than their debut, and managed to score them the opening slot on Pro Pain's tour. Returning to the studio at the end of 1996, the resulting Full Time Function added a more hardcore-influenced riffing style. The band moved from Europe in 1999 and made their way to the U.S., where they set up shop. They began working on new material and eventually put out Kill My Super Ego in the summer of 2002. ~ Bradley Torreano, All Music Guide
