The songs on America's Sweetheart get Courtney and open her up, showing her to us the way she was in 2004. Maybe it's not her most original work musically, But the lyrics are very good ones. Intense, painful, sincere, full of drugs, sex and rock and roll. I love the way she talks about herself as the one who's gonna save rock and roll and at the same time is unappreciated bu evry one. She knows she won't save it. Just because the world won't let her...
