Though the bluegrass band Crazy Strings went through various lineups during their lifetime, they always continued to employ some of the most prolific and talented Canadian musicians around. They made their name performing at Toronto's popular Silver Dollar Room, playing the acclaimed shows "High Lonesome Wednesdays" for many years. Some of the various members of Crazy Strings (banjoists Chris Coole and Chris Quinn, mandolinist and guitarist Dan Whiteley, mandolinist Andrew Collins, guitarists Marc Roy and Joey Wright, vocalist Jenny Whiteley) have also all been involved in numerous other side projects, including the Creaking Tree String Quartet and Whiteley Brothers Blues Band, as well as solo work. ~ Marisa Brown, All Music Guide
