Freelance guitarist Dan Phillips has performed with such jazz artists as Jim Black, Chris Speed, Matt Darriau, Ben Street, Mike Sarian, Pat Zimmerli, and Owen Howard. After finishing his undergraduate studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Phillips relocated to New York City, before settling down in Chicago and forming the Dan Phillips Trio along with drummer Phil Gratteau and bassist Krzysztof Pabian. In addition, Phillips has made live appearances at the Montreal Jazz Festival and the Ashikago City Jazz Festival in Japan. ~ Greg Prato, All Music Guide
