His songs have been covered by artists as diverse as Hawkwind, Lulu, Daniel Pearce and The Who's Roger Daltrey. He has also been a highly successful club promoter (The Lift, Jungle, Bad, Downbeat and Groove) and party organiser (The Face and Time Out Magazines, Warner music, Prince and Madonna, amongst others) in the 80s, and, in the 90s, a journalist; writing extensively for Time Out and Attitude magazines. Steve also mentors, writes with, records and produces several young rappers, singers and songwriters in North West London.
