D.L.A.(Derrick Lennel Armwood) was born in New York,N.Y. Where he was raised with eight brothers and sisters. At the young age of 8, D.L.A. began playing the piano, But that was just the beginning of his interest in music. When he was 10 years of age, D.L.A. started to write and produce in his own unique style. D.L.A. grew up listening to a variety of music from Funk,Hip hop,Pop,New wave,Classical,Jazz,R&B,to Rock, But as a teenager he was introduced to the Dance scene. Producing,Writing and recording Dance, Pop, NEW Rock, Hip hop & R&B tracks is his specialty. Though he also produces Jazz and Classical. Limiting himself is not an option. D.L.A. is very anxious to expand his music career. He also created his own independent label called J.O.A.T.(Jack Of All Trades) Which he is the first artist on that label.
