Detektor is the artistname of norwegian producer Erik Sand. Project launched 2000, Oslo, Norway. First 12" was released in Germany, on the german label Boost-records (Gelsenkirchen)2001. In fact it was Detektors presens on mp3.com at the time that made the record deal come through. Claus Pieper from the German technolegends Genlog was head of a small recordlabel called Boost records, searching for new talents out there on the web, and ha found some interresting stuff on Detektors pages. I had nice coops with a varity good artists on mp3.com in those years, Giorgio Ponticelli from Italy, Luke Chen from Optone project in Singapore, Decoding Jesus, New York USA and Hilde Wahl, vocalist on "fly" to name a few. The track "Fly" sold out the vinyl printed, and got signed to a total of 10 compilations, the biggest one being Dream Dance 21 on Sony Music.
