Devil's Whorehouse

Named after a song by iconic punk rockers the Misfits, Norrköping, Sweden's Devil's Whorehouse was formed in 2000 by guitarist Morgan Steinmeyer Håkansson and bassist B. War (both members of black metal titans Marduk) with the intent of being a Misfits and Samhain cover band. Also featuring vocalist Zweeda (guitarist with the Absolute Bastards) and drummer Hrafn, the band eventually moved into composing their own songs, but always using the Misfits' blueprint (one-to-two minute songs about trashy horror movies) as a template. After debuting with The Howling EP, the band recorded their first full album in 2004's Revelation Unorthodox. ~ Ed Rivadavia, All Music Guide
