DR begun as an acoustic act between high school friends mike & dg in the fall/winter of 2003. they started out playing subways & the jones beach boardwalk, while recording full band mp3's in mike's basement. with the lack of a drummer posing a problem, mike played bass, drums, & lead guitars on the early DR recordings. DR went on to record a full length album that took most of 2005, the lost years, & have been selling a 5 song promo for it at the cost of $2 for quite some time. After realizing all but one of these songs had keyboards on it, they recruited mike's brother, matt, to play keyboards for them at their shows to try to replicate the full aural sound they captured on the cd.
