DJ Transient; you can say he’s been transcend from both the analog & digital world. Having graduated from Trebas Institute of Recording Arts in the 80s & Musi-Technic last year, as sound reinforcement, recording engineer & sound designer. His experience started back in the college days, DJing for Dawson College, McGill & Concordia University using cassettes, open reels & vinyl’s. He also hosted morning show at CINQ 102.3 FM Centre Ville. Then moved to Toronto in the 90s & worked various recording studio, in addition to opened his own recording studio, he was a sound consultant for CHIN 100.7 FM multicultural radio station. In-between he continues enjoying DJing & making music. His recent project incl. produced a compilation CD with various artists, whom most of them having no musical background neither play any traditional instruments; however, they do share one comment passion; music & sound design. By embracing today’s digital technology, the artist expresses themselves. DJ Transient firmly believes that through words and sound the artist moves Heaven & Earth. It is for this reason that when we listen to music, we listen not with the ear but with the spirit & feel with the heart. When our souls are in need we turn to Mozart, to Baroque, to Shakespeare, to Elvis and to The Beatles for the better part of ourselves. This is because the artists among us are nothing more than a reflection of the better part of our soul…… the part that sings.
