sandviktus's Album Review for Cinéma Vérité

Good memories....
Oh how I long for the days of great songwriting! This is one of the albums I grew up with when I lived in SoCal in the late 80's. I wore out the original tape, and also the recording of the original. I wish the service I use had this for me to download. *Sigh* The more new music I hear, the more I think the 80s had the last wave of good songwriters. Dramarama, X, Oingo Boingo, Social D, MAN do I miss bands like that! Ok, that's it. I'm starting the revolution! One group that comes close to the angst of Dramarama is Pulp, esp. "This is Hardcore." Not necessarily the same sound or style, but the painful, heart wrenching feeling is all there. Richard Hawley from the same group is worth checking out as well. One of the first albums from the group Come ->"Eleven:Eleven" is another great underrated album.
