Dwayne Cornelius
Since first becoming involved in the music industry at the age of 15, Dwayne Cornelius has played drums in Natalie Cole's touring band, worked with members of Earth, Wind & Fire, and became a part of the Parliament-Funkadelic universe. Professionally known as DCat, Cornelius lives and works in Los Angeles, CA, but spent five years in Denmark and Germany working with Scatman John and playing drums for Womack & Womack. He also worked with George Clinton's son, Tracey Lewis, and his band, the Flastic-Brain Flams, which later became Trey Lewd. Cornelius still works with Clinton, along with numerous West Coast rappers and producers, including Meech Wells, DJ Battlecat, and Snoop Dogg. An appearance in the film Shout and running his own production company/talent pool, the DCAT Music Network, round out his resumé. ~ David Jeffries, All Music Guide
