Powerful, emotional, raw.

Emery brings a new definition to "emo." Hardly a whimpy, whiny, band, their soul is more progressive core rock than anything else, and their melodies are intricate, beautiful and inspiring. Although I am disappointed with their latest album "I'm Only a Man" (The Party Song is by far the worst piece of garbage they've ever made), I cannot help but still love them for what they brought to the screamo genre. I will always have nostalgia for their first album, every song resonates with a soulful, human sound, and they still retain their raw roots by incorporating the elements of a powerful screamer and keyboardist. You honestly cannot compare them to any other band, and you need to listen to their first album to be convinced that Emery is a league of their own.
