Enochian
ENOCHIAN (E - nOk - EE - an) 1 - Refering to the biblical city of "Enoch." 2 - The language spoken by Divine entities such as Angels and Demons. 3 - The magickal system created by Dr. John Dee and Edward Kelly. 4 - The musical project by writer/artist Brian Fatah Steele ENOCHIAN was a dream that was created in the winter of 2006. Merging a growing love of Techno/Trance with World Music, the first album "The Pangea Engine" was finished after much trial and error. Sampling various native songs and modern ambient arias, they were mixed and produced all at home. Enochian strives to create a bridge between atmospheric dance music and the so-called "New Age" sounds. Work on a follow up collection of songs began in the late winter of 2008. Tentatively title, "Among The Ruins Of Men," this is a less hopeful and more gothic group of songs. Inspired by Judeo-Christian Mythology, Brian Fatah Steele attempts to harness the essence of "Darkness VS Light" so often found in Western faiths. In the spring of 2008, work began on a 3rd album, a conceptual affair titled "The Majestic Loss." Ten tracks were composed, each one titled and flavored after a fabled or lost city. The songs reached around the globe with their ancient, tribal beats fused with modern electronica. During the last days of of the 2008 winter, Brian Fatah Steele finished work on his 4th album. Titled "Yesterday Bled Us A Golden Lie," it draws less from New Age sensibilities and more from the Post-Rock movement. THe songs and longer and more layered, to create a textured soundscape.
