Familia Dei
In 1988, a group of core members, led by vocalist Bimi Ombale and drummer Ilo Pablo, splintered away from Zaiko Langa Langa. They lost the battle for the original name, but wound up stealing a good many musicians from Zaiko. They continued mostly in the traditional Zaiko style of rumba, adding a synth for more texture. ~ Steve Huey, All Music Guide
