Flávia Virgínia
Daughter of Djavan, Flávia Virgínia recorded songs by her father; at 16, she recorded "Curumim" on Djavan (1988). As a backing vocalist, she toured with Marisa Monte and Kid Abelha; appeared in the Rock In Rio II Festival singing with Elba Ramalho; recorded with Gal Costa and Maria Bethânia; and performed together with Ivan Lins, Marcus Miller, and Al Jarreau. Virgínia penned all the songs of her debut album, Livro-Măe (2001), which had the participation of several artists, including Djavan and Armandinho. ~ Alvaro Neder, All Music Guide
