A progressive/alternative band writing and performing all original material, fp503's sound and songwriting has generated comparisons to U2, Police, Radiohead, INXS, Roxy Music, and Peter Gabriel. The band's name was derived from a college apartment infamously known as the "F*** Palace - 503 Peach". fp503's style spans the musical spectrum of dark moody soundscapes, ballads, and driving pop/rock songs attracting fans globally. fp503's songs gained regular rotation on multiple radio stations and charted in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. fp503 originated in Erie, PA during the Fall of 1989. Original members included Tiger Biletnikoff (vocals/synthesizers), Pete Gool (guitar), Dave Dever (bass), and Harry Honard (drums). They released a 4-song cassette titled "A World So New". Mark Hoffman joined the band as its new bass player upon Dever's departure, and the band recorded it's debut full-length CD "Pink" in 1993. The CD included the hits "Don't Leave", "I Don't Wanna Love", "Traditional Girl", and "A World So New". The band returned to the studio and recorded its second CD "Media Circus" in 1996. This generated the hits "A Voice in the Wind", "I Reach for You", "Never Again", and "Second Chance". Before the CD was released, Mike Otto joined fp503 to replace drummer Harry Honard. The band recorded an 8-song studio demo titled "Epilogue" in 1998, which attracted the interest of a few well-known producers who believed the material was worthy of commercial success. However, the band decided to take a much needed break after 9 years of non-stop performing and recording. 2009 marks the return of fp503 to the studio, live audiences, and the airwaves. The band will re-group for the first time in over 10 years to record a much overdue CD. Fans and listeners can expect a new sound from fp503, yet the underlying style that made them successful will still be woven through the new songs. Tiger, Pete, Mark, and Mike will return with a renewed enthusiasm and a new CD that will not disappoint their fans both old and new.
