The Nigerian-born son of a former diplomat, Frank Agbro studied at Worcester Academy and later attended the Rochester Institute of Technology. It was while he was living in Washington, working and taking night classes at a local university, that the enthusiastic musician began to share his passion for Afro-Caribbean rhythms, forming his own band, Frankojazz, in 1995 and recording Sunset in Nairobi. After touring the local club circuit and even playing at the presidential inauguration ceremony in 1997, Frank Agbro decided to pursue a solo career, self-producing his debut album, You. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
