Friends With Cameras
FWC began from the ashes of a fallen ska band, one which included drummer Tim Bingham and bassist Rosario Edwards. The band was entitled Phoenix Larry, and in short it went nowhere. From There Tim and Rosario found Hannah, Vocalist/keyboardist, and Rachel, Guitarist/Violinist/Vocalist, and decided to make a new band, which you know as Friends With Cameras. From here they decided to do a few covers, make some songs, which would help them come up with their own sound, one which can be described as Hot Hot Heat-infused version of Liz Phair singing for Franz Ferdinand... with Meg White & Charlie Watts' love child on drums, and now they have made their first EP Mixing the Flavors. This EP, recorded with FACEPLANT Studios, is an effort which includes many different styles and genres of music, which along with a band tradition helped them in finding the EP's Title. Some songs speak of love, others of a desire for more than the ordinary, and they all come together to make an offering which at times is calm and serene yet at others filled with energy and excitement. Their first release is now available.
