George Clarke
Not to be confused with the soulful jazz saxophonist of the same name, the British keyboardist George Clarke was a member of a band called the Regulars, who cut one album for CBS in 1978. Brass player George Chisholm is one of the better-known musicians who was in this outfit, not that he is anyone who gets hounded on the streets for autographs. Perhaps the band fell Victim -- that just happens to be the title of the sole LP by the group -- to its name, which is just too regular. Other combos with the same name abound, including a roots rock Boston outfit and the R&B cover band J.J. & the Regulars. ~ Eugene Chadbourne, All Music Guide
