Emma777's Album Review for Patience

What a truly outstanding piece of work!
George Michael, again, seems to produce an album of fine art, not just musical & lyrical ecstasy!

One thing I have noticed with Georges' albums, is he starts off slow, works you up until you think you can't breathe, then delicately brings you back down again. His music is better than any drug I know.
When you hear this album, you must truly listen to the amount of work that has gone into it. It is pure perfection.
Whenever I purchase a new GM album (which is fairly infrequently these days), I grab a wine, a comfy chair & sit & absorb. Every song has a story, whether it be Georges' or perhaps your own, there's a message there for everyone.
In this album you'll find catchy melodys, ballads & clubbalishous beats all rolled into one.
It's hard to pick a favourite song as they're all different to listen to, however, in essence, they all share one similarity...that is, hard work, blood, sweat & tears. If I had to choose, it would be "Amazing" (track #2) as it reminds me of the love I have with my partner - and, it makes me smile everytime!
Patience, My Mother Had A Brother, John & Elvis Are Dead, Anselmos' Song, American Angel & Through have some beautiful messages to convey. Shoot The Dog is a much needed political statement with a funky beat. Freeek! is SEXY to say the least! Cars and Trains is a groovy toe tapper. Round Here is an ode to Georges' early life and family. And as for Precious Box & Flawless, well, if you don't get up and shake your grove thing to these songs, well you must be god damn deaf man!
I love it!!! Welcome back George Michael, we missed you!!!
