Global Wave System

The Christian industrial outfit Global Wave System was formed in 1990, an outgrowth of the Ceiling:Infinity project. Originally comprised of vocalist/programmer Christian-E!, programmers Troy Motz and A.T. Matthew, and guitarist R. Matthew Barkau; debuting in 1992 with "Commitment," a track on the the SLAVA Music compilation Voice of the People. The full-length independent release Will Not Play With Power 1.0 appeared later that same year, and was the first Global Wave System release to feature new programmer Christopher Buchholz; after 1993's Life Equals Death, however, the group dissolved, reforming in 1996 for the single "Smog." Now consisting of Christian-E!, Motz and guitarist Corey Diekman, Global Wave System recorded a series of compilation tracks before welcoming drummer Kevin Moore for the HypocritEP. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
